Salmonellosis. Pigeons are carriers of Salmonella bacteria. Droppings near food prep areas, open windows, or AC units that cycle indoor/outdoor air create pathways for contamination in your living space.

E. coli. Pigeon droppings regularly test positive for E. coli. In a residential setting where an AC unit is drawing in air over a dropping-covered surface, the risk of indoor contamination is real and ongoing.
